Rocket Ranch is a venue that provides camping, lodging, and launch viewing second-to-none of the worlds most powerful flying machine: StarShip SuperHeavy from the edge of the exclusion zone at SpaceX’s StarBase.
We provide the closest most elevated perspective available to the public for StarShip launches and the closest lodging.
Rocket Ranch has currently two active locations: The Rocket Ranch Campground & The Rocket Ranch Outpost at StarBase.
The Rocket Ranch Outpost is our premier launch observation venue providing outstanding views of SuperHeavy at only 3.7 miles from the launch site. We feature an elevated platform and unmatched media service.

The Outpost sits on the Rio Grande at the edge of the 40 square mile Lower Rio Grand Valley National Preserve. Expect incredible nature and true outdoor camping conditions. Please provide whatever you need to make yourself comfortable.
Rocket Ranch can supply some tents for guests while supplies last, used at your own risk and care.
There are porto-potties, hand wash stations, and food trucks available during the event for your convenience.
We will provide live coverage all night long, including any in-flight views made available to us by SpaceX
There will be music and laser light shows.
The Rocket Ranch Campground is 9.7 miles from stage zero and serves as our community hub, and the main registration area for launches.
Our Andromeda Pavilion is a large shaded area overlooking the river available for rentable parties, featuring a service container.
The Ranch House is a common area shared by the ranch guests, it includes a play room with full arcade machine, musical instruments, a maker space with 3D printer/CNC’s, and of course – merch!
We have media packages available with special rooms on site for broadcasting.
This is not the Hilton. It is simply the best viewing/community for launch enthusiasts, and a great place to make lifelong friends.

The Rocket Ranch Campground sits on 4 acres with plenty of space for self-contained vehicles and tent camping.

Swimming in the Rio Grande is very much NOT recommended (and possibly illegal).
No, we do not get border crossings.
We have two community area bathrooms with hot showers available guests of the Ranch.
The Rocket Ranch campground command center shows Live views of StarBase from our own closed circuit cameras, LabPadre and NASA Space Flight 24/7!
Rocket Ranch is available for large events and weddings – Get married, nerds!
Participation of all Rocket Ranch activities, amenities and access to the facility are considered at your own risk
For launch ticket holders, please arrive at the Rocket Ranch Campground at a MINIMUM 4 hour before Launch. Your ticket includes 1 day/night of camping launch day- so, use it! For night launches, call time will be approximately 6 hours before flight.
Once registered at the Rocket Ranch Campground, you will be bussed to the Outpost with your belongings. No personal vehicles are allowed at the Outpost – “bring only what you need to survive.”
At our proximity, Rocket Launches can be dangerous. In the case of an anomaly we strongly recommend having hearing protection.
The Outpost has two flame trenches available for cover. You will have 16 seconds or less to find shelter, or lay flat in the event of a pressure wave from a Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly. Cover your ears in the event of a RUD!
By attending our events, you agree to hold Rocket Ranch and SpaceX harmless for any damages, personal injury, or death caused by launch or participation in associated activities on our properties.
Our tickets and events are non-refundable. Please plan accordingly.
I’ll say that one more time…. NO refunds. You may issue a time transfer to another person with approval from Rocket Ranch management. Tickets may not be used for any future events.
